The People's Climate March was held on September 21 in New York City. Over 400,000 people marched to protest a history of inaction from international leaders on climate change. Their voices were joined by thousands more in marches in cities across the globe, united against the status quo of corporate greed and climate devastation. In the NYC March alone, over 15,000 organizations and 50,000 college students participated, bringing with them a host of ideas and debates for climate justice. People represented included indigenous communities, environmental justice groups, labor groups, students, water justice groups, environmental organizations, anti-corporate campaigns, peace and justice campaigns, scientists, community groups, LGBTQ groups and more.
