Come to the Geva Theatre’s annual open house event and learn about all the behind the scenes effort that goes into putting on a show. Explore the set of “A Christmas Carol” and the rehearsal space. Hear about how costumes, props, sound and lighting are designed and discover the spells behind the theater’s magic.

The semester is almost over and it’s time to dance. Stop by the century old Edgerton Community Center and dance the evening away in their Stardust Ballroom to live music performed by Bob Ames.

Cats 101: Reading Your Cat’s Behavior and Basic Training, Rochester Brainery, 274 N Goodman St
6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
This class, taught by a behavior specialist, can teach you how to read cat behavior — basically how to read cat minds! You will also learn how to teach them manners through training techniques. If you don’t already love these little furry critters, this class has to change your strange mind.

Trip to Grinch the Musical, Rochester Auditorium Theater, 885 East Main Street
6 – 9 p.m.
It’s almost Christmas time and with finals on their way, you might be feeling a bit like the Grinch. Sign up at the CAB office and take a break, attend the live show and get your spirits up. Hopefully your heart will grow too!

Holiday Spectacle of Lights, Camp Eastman, Lakeshore Blvd
5 – 9 p.m.
Come drive through the Holiday Spectacle of Lights hosted by Irondequoit Parks and Recreation. The proceeds benefit the Golisano Children’s Hospital. The fun doesn’t stop at the end of the drive either - there are events outside too, including a performance by Surround Sound A-Capella from 6:30 to 7:30.

Roller Derby Home Team Championship, Fair & Expo Center Grounds (Dome Arena), 2695 E Henrietta Rd
6 p.m.
Roc City Roller Derby is hosting the championship game between the Rottenchesters versus Midtown Maulers and the [5-H8-5]’s versus the QCRG’s Suicidal Saucies. Come see these teams tear up the rink and find out who wins!

Chiptunes, the musical movement where people use retro game consoles and computers to make sick beats, is coming to RIT! Come meet artists and groups or just learn more about the sounds with demonstrations and workshops galore.
