On a windy day in downtown Rochester, a group of women and men gathered at the Liberty Pole to express their discontent with the treatment of rape and rape victims in the United States. Above the rumble of wind, two women told their tragic stories — Rheytchul Kimmel and her courage to move beyond the label of victim, and Michele and the event that changed her life forever. Empowered by these stories, the group took to the street, chanting that one day we will change how we look at rape and its victims for the better.
