Sarah Szybist is a six-foot-one-inch outside hitter for the Women’s Volleyball Team here at RIT, and has been receiving a lot of attention recently for her talent. She has just been named Most Valuable Player of the RIT Volleyball Invitational as well as the Liberty League Volleyball Player of the Week for the eighth time in the past two years. Students at RIT have a lot of things to complain about; the weather, the cost, the horrible food at Gracie’s, but the most common complaint for RIT students is the low number of available women. With this in mind, the we here at Distorter Magazine have come up with a solution by forming a publishing arm on campus that specializes in erotic literature. The new publishing arm, named Chasing Tail Publishing, is comprised of a number of Distorter staff members and led by Distorter editor in chief Joseph Grey.  

The idea for the publishing arm came soon after rumors began that RIT would be censoring internet porn sites at the end of spring quarter last year...

“Student affairs really got out of hand these past couple of years,” Interim Senior Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Rolls Royce-Barshee explained.  “I remember when we had only 10 or 20 [student affairs activities] per year. Now it seems like we have closer to 17,000.”

On August 29, the annual AppleFest was held outside the Student Development Center. A time of festivities and celebration for NTID students, it continued until 7 p.m. when the crowd of nearly 100 students and faculty filled the M-lot circle for a special ceremony. Candles were passed out and lit, posters with farewell messages were shown and laughter lingered in the air for deceased 24-year-old Timothy Holmes...

At the August 29 Student Government (SG) meeting, Senate members introduced themselves and went over procedures and basics. The director of clubs and organizations was voted on during this meeting. Updates and projects worked on over the summer along with future projects in the works were presented.

I am very upset over the way the RIT administration handled notifying the death of a friend of mine. His name was Dominic Clemente-Gould and he was a very special person in the lives of many.

One of the hardest things for me at the moment is to refer to him in the past tense ... Especially since he was the closest to the epitome of a vibrant and lively soul that I have encountered to date.
