September already? It feels like we just started! To upperclassmen, welcome back to campus! Thanks for picking up a Reporter magazine and reading it! To be honest with you all, I write these notes pretty far in advance. While I am not yet sure what will be happening in September, I do know one important thing: stay informed. Know what is happening in your school, town, city and country. That’s why you’re here at college — to learn!
Close-mindedness is, in my opinion, a terrible thing to do to yourself. Look at your neighbor. Think about their life and what they’re going through. Educate yourself, and I promise you’ll gain a much better understanding and outlook on the world. There isn’t one specific way to do that, and I encourage you to branch out. See what works, and see what makes you feel the most. Emotions are important!
While this edition of Reporter does not have an overarching theme, it does meander along the lines of education. Even if you’re not into the hard-hitting news, we try to include something in here for everyone. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we’re always hiring! I’d love to have you on board. Good luck with the fall semester!
