Sign Idol, Ingle Auditorium 8:00 – 11:00 p.m.

Sigma Sigma Sigma is hosting another year of Sign Idol! This show is sure to be filled with catchy music, talented contestants and plenty of judge feedback. All proceeds will go to Sigma’s philanthropy organization to support Children's Play Therapy in hospitals in the United States. Whether you want to perform or watch, whether you are hearing or deaf, this is the place to be on a Monday night!

Price: $3 presale or to perform, $5 at the door

Tuesday 10/22

Don Christiano’s The Beatles Unplugged, Abilene Bar & Lounge, 153 Liberty Pole Way 8 – 10 p.m.

If it’s been a hard day’s night, and you’ve been working like a dog, so it’s time for a break and maybe a few Beatles songs. Don Christiano returns to Abilene Bar & Lounge this Tuesday for another cover concert of Beatles classics. Come listen to him bring their classic songs to life!

Eastman School Symphony Orchestra, Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, 60 Gibbs Street 8 – 10 p.m.

Has hump day been tiring? Unwind and relax to the sounds of Mozart’s Overture to Marriage of Figaro and other classics. Seriously, what could be classier?

Thursday 10/24

Nightmare Manor Haunted House, Southtown Plaza, 3333 West Henrietta Road 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

After a long day of walking up and down the quarter mile, it’s time to walk another quarter mile; the quarter mile of HORROR!!! Less than three miles from campus you can walk through Nightmare Manor’s extensive indoor haunted house, open specifically to make you scream!

Cost: $16 for students, $18 for general admission

Friday 10/25

ritGA Fall Drag Show, Ingle Auditorium room 1250 7:00 p.m. doors open, 8:00 – 11:45 p.m. show

Time for another ritGa Drag Show! Come watch your fellow students perform with stage names and sass. All contestants will be competing for a chance to perform in the Spring Drag Show where Mr. and Mrs. RIT will be crowned.

Saturday 10/26

Halloween Blowout 5K – Run for your life, NRH field by Greek Lawn 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

You are in a zombie-infested, apocalyptic world. What do you do? Run! Starting this Saturday, you can practice your running and zombie dodging skill. Be prepared though, you only get a certain number of chances to outpace them all and to make it to the end alive! Cost: Free to students and faculty/staff, $5 for others

Sunday 10/27

Durand Eastman Arboretum Tours, Durand Eastman Park, Zoo Road 2 p.m.

As the days grow colder, it is important to take every chance you can to get outside. The Monroe County Cooperative Extension partnered with Monroe County Parks and has been hosting 2 hour tours through this beautiful wooded park every Sunday in October. This is your last chance to enjoy one of their free, 3.5-mile guided hikes led by Community Forester Volunteers.
